Founded in response to the global threat of Covid-19 by former FEMA Director James Lee Witt and Merlynn Carson, MD, CEO of Myriddian Healthcare, Aegis 19 (Aegis) provides comprehensive disaster preparedness, mitigation, response, recovery and emergency management advisory services to public and private sector organizations. The Aegis team collectively represent hundreds of years of private sector, public service, and government experience in the fields of emergency planning and response, population health, and project management.
On January 30, 2020, the International Health Regulations Emergency Committee of the World Health Organization declared the outbreak a “public health emergency of international concern” (PHEIC). On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization declared the outbreak a Pandemic as confirmed cases of COVID-19 had spread to more than 100 countries.
In order to respond to COVID-19 and other current or emerging global and national events we have created a team to bring a holistic approach to disaster management. Each team member specializes in a specific niche that is broken out by the four stages of disaster recovery: Mitigation, Preparedness, Response and Recovery. Our team and subject matter experts have the capabilities to provide a comprehensive approach to effectively utilize, manage and deploy resources with the goal of preparing our clients for rapid containment, recovery, and communications.
